Unlike many types of habushu, which are traditionally made by infusing habu snakes in awamori, “URUMA” is made by infusing a habu snake in rum produced from Okinawan sugarcane.

It features an aromatic and flavorful profile that highlights the naturally sweet character of rum, with a smooth and mellow finish. Its easy-drinking taste has made it a long-standing favorite enjoyed by many over the years.

One of the unique features of “URUMA” is the habu extract released during the infusion process. In Okinawa, habushu has long been enjoyed as a traditional drink associated with health and vitality.

Refilling the Bottle & Important Notes

The “URUMA” bottle containing a whole habu snake can be enjoyed for a longer period by periodically refilling it with additional rum.

When refilling the bottle, please use Habushu “URUMA” 40% ABV, 720 mL, which is also made with rum.

To help prevent the habu snake from being exposed to air, we recommend refilling the bottle before the snake rises above the surface of the rum.

Please note that each refill gradually dilutes the habu extract in the rum. Enjoy the drink according to your personal preference.

Note: The habu snakes used in this product are specimens collected through pest control efforts in Nago City. They are properly processed and utilized as part of our commitment to making effective use of local resources.

Compared with the standard “URUMA” without a habu snake inside, this version offers a more pronounced habu character and a richer habu extract profile.
