Kura 3-Year-Aged Awamori

Kura Aged Awamori is crafted according to the traditional production methods of Awamori, a spirit with a history spanning more than 600 years.

What makes it traditional?
■ Distilled using a traditional pot still (single-pot still)
■ Made using the all-koji fermentation method with black koji mold
■ Crafted exclusively from 100% Indica rice
※Made without any additives

One of the defining characteristics of awamori is its remarkable ability to improve with age. The longer it is carefully matured, the richer and more complex its aroma becomes, while its flavor grows smoother and mellower. Awamori that has been aged for three years or longer is known as kusu (aged awamori).

Kura is matured in bespoke oak casks created exclusively for aging Kura’s original spirit. Each cask is handcrafted by master coopers from carefully selected North American white oak harvested from trees aged 70 to carefully selected North American white oak harvested from trees aged 70 to 100 years
Even at this very moment, Kura’s original spirit rests peacefully in the distillery, surrounded by abundant nature, gently cradled in more than 2,600 oak casks as it continues to mature.
